Strategic advisory services for media leaders
“A one-woman think-tank”. “Board whisperer”. These are just some of the ways clients have described me and my work.
All my strategic advisory services are grounded in clear objectives. We define your goals at the outset and continually evaluate our progress towards them. Strategy is put into action, not just put down on paper.
I offer a flexible range of support — from long-term strategic advice to guided peer-support groups to insightful keynote speeches — adapting and blending services to suit your current priorities and challenges.

CEO and top team strategic advisory
For CEOs and senior leadership teams looking for ongoing support during complex and uncertain times, this strategic advisory service ensures you always have a calm, external voice to call upon.
With advice grounded in a deep understanding of the media industry — and covering everything from decision-making to stakeholder management to how to land a strategy — you’ll find it easier to identify sustainable business solutions.
This service can be tailored to your needs. Most clients opt for 90-minute sessions on a weekly basis. But I’m available between meetings, too. So if you face a short-term crisis or want advice on a time-sensitive topic, I’m just a phone call away.
Board roles
I serve on boards and advisory boards in the media industry, contributing an independent strategic perspective over time.
In this role, I draw on deep sector knowledge, supporting boards to think clearly about structural change, long-term positioning, and risk.
I’m typically valued for judgement, pattern recognition, and the ability to connect strategy, organisation, and industry dynamics.
I serve, or have served, as a board member of:
- SRG (Switzerland)
- Vizrt (Norway)
- Neue Zürcher Zeitung (Switzerland)
- Mediahuis: Future Insights Board (Belgium)
Strategic project support
Get focused external input to accelerate high-impact, high-level strategic projects.
We work together to shape strategic direction, design new approaches, or pressure-test critical initiatives. These engagements are tightly scoped and designed to feed directly into decision-making.
Examples of past projects include platform strategy, audience and growth initiatives, and programmes designed to raise editorial ambition and performance.
The First 100 Days
For new leaders and those embarking on a high-stakes journey, I act as a running mate through the crucial 100-day window.
As part of this tailored strategic advisory service, we triage and diagnose your most pressing issues, and explore key decisions.
With practical guidance and a steady, experienced perspective, you set a strong foundation for your leadership and organisation.
Strategic Rock Groups
The rate of transformation in the media industry means many leaders now have an unwieldy to-do list.
Strategy projects are the “rocks” on that to-do list that often prove hard to shift. The more rocks you have, the more fragmented your focus, the slower your progress, and the higher your stress levels.
Strategic Rock Groups are time-bound sprints with a circle of leaders from different organisations, all with a clear goal: to shift one rock.
You can join one of two groups, delivered over a period of three to six months:
- Strategic Rock. Successfully roll any strategic rock off your to-do list.
- Creator Shift. Plan and implement a creator economy initiative.
In either group, you learn through the breakthroughs of your peers, benefit from expert facilitation, and get the accountability you need to see projects over the line.
Previous groups have delivered initiatives ahead of time and with better outcomes than expected — and participants have moved a significant step closer toward overarching business strategy goals.
Speaking and leader development services

Keynote speaking
To bring valuable media industry insights and inspiration to a wider audience, you can book me to speak at your conference or company leadership event.
My keynotes dissect industry trends and their ramifications. They develop a shared language and frame strategy choices clearly.
The result is clarity in a complex landscape, better insights into what is actually happening in media organisations across the world, and new ideas for what to do next.
Executive sessions
These bespoke, small-group executive education sessions are often delivered alongside a keynote speech. They provide a space for focused discussion and targeted learning.
Sessions spark fresh perspectives and deliver tangible outcomes. You can use them to better understand industry direction, sharpen strategic rationale, or move from intention to execution — whatever your leadership team needs most.
I’ve designed, curated, and delivered executive development sessions for organisations including IESE New York, The Wharton School, London Business School, EBU, FT Strategies, and Arts Council England, as well as companies including Meta, the BBC, CNN, and Vodafone.
